At Studio Athena, we bring Vāstu together with evidence-based design principles to create spaces that feel balanced, restorative, and in tune with nature. For clients whose homes or businesses are under renovation, we offer secure, conditioned storage space in Ashland. It's an ideal place to keep furnishings, decor, and cabinetry safe until your project is ready for installation. The space features convenient alley access and double doors for easy deliveries, and access is managed exclusively by our team, so your belongings are always cared for. Virtual Design Services
Our virtual design service brings thoughtful, sustainable design from our Ashland studio directly to your home or business, wherever you are. We begin with a detailed style and needs assessment, then create tailored floor plans, material + finish selections, furniture layouts, and a curated shopping list that reflects your aesthetic and budget. Along the way, you'll receive clear visuals, practical guidance for implementation, and sustainable product recommendations that lower environmental impact without sacrificing beauty. The result is an inspiring, livable space designed around how you truly live and work.
For clients who would like an in-person touch, we're happy to visit your space, whether for a single site visit or periodic check-ins throughout your project. Travel fees apply and are outlined in your design proposal.
How Virtual Design Works
Getting to Know You
We begin by getting to know you, your space, and what you love (and don't)
You'll share photos and measurements of your space, and for some projects, material samples
Design + Delivery
We'll create one or more initial design concepts and share room + concept boards through our client portal, where you can ask questions and approve or decline ideas and items.
For your shopping list, you can purchase items yourself, or we can order them for you at trade pricing.
Communication Throughout
To design your space well, we need to truly know you, so we connect through video calls and phone conversations, never through email or text alone.
Quotes and images are shared by email or through your client portal.
What You Receive
Your initial concept(s), followed by a review consultation, typically within 14 days, and any revisions needed
